The mystical experience is not a practice inherent in our culture and yet I felt its call. I went to meet with the indigenous shamans of the amazon, those who ingest the sacred plant Ayahuasca and use chants and rituals to journey into the Invisible.
In bringing the glass to my lips, I did not know that I had embarked on a voyage without return.
